Simple, Low Cost, Big Impact DIY

As a Realtor, I am often asked what is a great return on investment into home updates. Room wise, the best place to start is the Kitchen and a close second is Bathrooms. One item that both of those places share when it comes to low cost building elements include ceramic or porcelain tile.

Adding a backsplash to your kitchen, if done on a DIY basis is a great way to spend a few hundred dollars with a few thousand dollar impact on increasing your homes value. Likewise, in the bathroom, you can improve a space with adding tile to your shower walls, or sink surround. Recently, I spent just under $300 in materials and ceramic tile saw rental to transform my kitchen from old out-date tiles to white subway tiles with a contrasting grout for a bold, rich feel.

If you want more tips on how to improve your home, text or call me and I can swing by, or we can talk on the phone about how a particular home improvement can add value to your home.
